Tottenham Hotspur will take on Coventry City from the Sky Bet Championship in the Third Round of the Carabao Cup, with the match set to be played away at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

The game is scheduled for the week beginning 16th September, with exact dates and times to be confirmed later. This fixture falls between two Premier League home matches for Spurs against Arsenal and Brentford.

It will be Tottenham’s first visit to the CBS Arena, though they previously defeated Coventry 3-0 at their old Highfield Road ground in a League Cup match back in September 2003.

In the last two seasons, Spurs have struggled to make it past the Third Round of the competition, losing on penalties to Fulham in the Second Round last year and falling to Nottingham Forest at this stage the season before.

Over the past four editions of the Carabao Cup, Tottenham have only been drawn against non-Premier League opposition once at this stage. In 2020, they were set to face Leyton Orient, but the match was canceled, and Spurs were given a bye due to COVID cases within the Orient squad.
