Crystal Palace faces Tottenham at Selhurst Park this afternoon. Tottenham aims to add to Palace's struggles, as the Eagles are still searching for their first win this season, now in their ninth Premier League match. Spurs, led by Ange Postecoglou, have reason to feel optimistic, having won their last five matchups against Palace and losing only once in their last 18 encounters.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are struggling with low morale, and manager Oliver Glasner is under growing pressure—a scenario that would have seemed unlikely just three months ago. Glasner recently voiced concerns over the club's summer transfer choices, questioning whether the £65 million spent to replace key players Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen, along with others, was sufficient.

13:38PM
For the first time in Premier League history, four teams have gone winless in their first eight games of the season.
Ipswich, Southampton, and Wolves all played yesterday and continued their winless streaks. Crystal Palace, the fourth team, could extend this record with another draw or loss today.
13:29PM - Incredible Stat
13:21PM - Romero takes the armband
With Son unavailable, Romero will take on the captain’s role for Spurs today.
In the recent win over AZ, Maddison wore the armband while Romero was rested. Maddison earned commendation for letting Richarlison take the penalty instead of stepping up himself in the 1-0 victory.
13:01PM - Mikey Moore starts!
Tottenham captain Son is indeed out, but the headline is that young left winger Mikey Moore has been selected to replace him, marking his first-ever Premier League start.
I watched Moore play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night against AZ Alkmaar, and he really stood out, especially in the second half. Let’s hope he brings that same energy today.
For Crystal Palace, there are three changes following their 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, with Wharton and Mateta returning to the starting lineup.

12:39PM - Dejan Kulusevski speaks on Timo Werner form
Dejan Kulusevski has pledged to support his Tottenham teammate Timo Werner, who has been struggling with form recently.
Werner was subbed off at halftime in Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar after missing a clear scoring chance in the 27th minute. The RB Leipzig loanee has been standing in for the injured captain Heung-min Son, who remains doubtful for Sunday’s game at Crystal Palace due to muscle soreness. However, Werner has now gone 16 matches without a goal for Spurs.
Kulusevski, following Tottenham’s seventh win in eight games, remarked, “We all go through it—some games are better, others are a bit tougher.” He added, “I really like Timo; he’s a Champions League winner, and we shouldn’t forget that. I have a lot of respect for him, and we’re here to support one another and improve together.”
12:27PM - It appears that both Heung-min Son and Wilson Odobert haven’t been cleared to play.
The official lineup will be announced in about 20 minutes.
12:18PM - Will Mikey Moore start?
Tottenham’s head coach Ange Postecoglou is being careful about starting 17-year-old Mikey Moore against Crystal Palace. Moore and Werner are the main options for the left wing in this match at Selhurst Park, as captain Heung-min Son is "unlikely" to play, according to Postecoglou.
Moore impressed in Thursday's 1-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar, especially after switching to the left side when Postecoglou decided to substitute the struggling Werner at halftime. Although Postecoglou has confidence in Moore’s readiness to start in "any game," he downplayed the likelihood of Moore making his full league debut in south London this weekend.
"He’s one of the options," Postecoglou noted, but added, "My main concern for him is physical. He’s still growing, and his body is adapting to this level. Playing two games in a week might be a bit much, so we’ll assess the team’s setup before deciding."
